Saitama Police Officer Suspended for Stealing Coworker's Anime, Games

A 28-year old male police officer who worked at the Urawa station was suspended from duty for one month as a disciplinary measure for stealing 26 anime DVDs and video games from his roommate at the police hostel and selling them for money over a period of five months. "I spent carelessly and got into money trouble," the suspect explained. The prefectural police filed charges at the Saitama public prosecutor's office, and the suspect announced his voluntary resignation from the force on the same day.
