Actor Sonny Chiba to Graduate From College 56 Years Later

World-renowned action star Sonny Chiba (Golgo 13: The Kowloon Assignment, among countless other films) will receive a special graduation diploma from Nippon Sport Science University in a ceremony on Sunday — 56 years after he started. Chiba had enrolled in the university in 1957, but dropped out to pursue his thriving film career at Toei. Chiba plans to make a speech and celebrate with the other graduates with a traditional rice-cake pounding at an on-campus restaurant.
