Discotek Unable to Acquire '70s Casshern, Has New '70s Toei Title

North American video distributor Discotek Media revealed on its Facebook page on Sunday that the company was unable to get the rights to the 1973-1974 Shinzō Ningen Casshan television anime series. Discotek said it is not sure why the title is not available, but added that sometimes series will become available later and the company plans to check again with Tatsunoko Production at a later date.
Additionally, the company noted that it used the money it planned to use on Shinzō Ningen Casshan to acquire a yet-unannounced 1970s Toei Animation series instead.
