1st of 2 films opened in Japan last September

At the end of a video interview with singer Kylee that Viz Media posted on Tuesday, a sizzle reel revealed that the Tiger & Bunny the Movie: The Beginning film will stream on the company's Neon Alley service. (Note: The reveal starts at 27:50 in the linked video.) (All Neon Alley shows are shown uncut and with an English dub.) Viz confirmed with ANN that it secured rights to run the movie on Neon Alley, and more details will be forthcoming.

The film opened in Japan in September 2012. The New People Cinema in San Francisco had screened the film with English subtitles one week after it premiered in Japan.

Tiger & Bunny The Beginning is the first of two anime films based on Sunrise's Tiger & Bunny television anime series. The film focuses on the story from the first television episodes, with new anime shots added.

The second film, Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising-, will premiere in Japan on February 8, 2014. Viz Media had noted in April that it is still in talks with Sunrise for the film.
