Whistle!'s Daisuke Higuchi to Debut Acacia Ginga Shōtengai Manga Series

Higuchi's previous series Dokushi ended on Saturday
September's issue of Gentosha's Monthly Comic Birz, which will ship on July 30, will include the first chapter of Daisuke Higuchi's new series Acacia Ginga Shōtengai. The debut follows the conclusion of Higuchi's previous series Dokushi (pictured at right), which she launched in 2009. Dokushi ended in Comic Birz's August issue, which shipped on Saturday.
The ninth volume of Dokushi, a seinen suspense story, shipped in Japan in March.
Higuchi is best known for her sports manga Whistle!, which serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Viz Media published all 24 volumes in North America.
