XSEED Games began streaming a new story trailer for Valhalla Knights 3 on Wednesday. The trailer features different aspects of the story as well as in-game character interactions and the character customization option. The company also released a press release on Wednesday detailing the seven different playable races in the game.
The fourth title published by XSEED Games in the Valhalla Knights action RPG series, Valhalla Knights 3 features a character creation system and brings seven-on-seven party-based combat to the PS Vita. Players can select from one of seven races and one of twenty job classes such as Fighter, Mage, Thief, Priest, Akatoki or Archer, while also equipping two sub-jobs. Players can adventure with a party of their own making or alone, and engage in real-time combat to earn skill points for upgrading and unlocking abilities unique to each job class.
Marvelous AQL had announced the game at last year's Tokyo Game Show. Valhalla Knights 3 shipped in Japan on May 23 for 5,980 yen (about US$60) after being delayed from January 31. XSEED Games will release the game in North America in October
XSEED Games released the original Valhalla Knights PlayStation Portable game in North America in 2007. The company also released the sequel game Valhalla Knights 2 for the PSP in 2008, and the Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga game for the Wii in 2009.
