Range Murata to Attend Overload NZ 2013 as Special Guest

New Zealand Anime and Manga conventiont to host Range Murata and hold a special screening of Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing-.

Overload NZ is a comic and manga comic convention that has been running in Auckland, New Zealand since 2006. Originally called Doujin Overload the event has a focus on manga and comic art to help support local artists. With this aim in mind Overload NZ has grown to be held at the ASB Stadium in 2013.

Range Murata

A proflic artist, Range Murata is responsible for the character designs and conceptual designs for Last Exile and Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing- and has also created character designs for Blue Submarine No. 6 and Shangri-La. Range Murata's work has been collected into art-books, he has contributed to the Robot series of books and has been releasing doujin books since 1992 under private label Pasta's Estab (usually abbreviated to PSE).

Range Murata will be involved in a variety of events in the lead up to and during Overload NZ these include;

  • Before Overload NZ
    • 6:30pm Tuesday the 24th September: Opening Night - Art Exhibition with Special Guest Range Murata [Free tickets still available - link]
    • 6:00pm Thursday the 26th of September - Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing- NZ Premiere [Free tickets still available - link]
  • During Overload NZ (Sat 28th September)
    • 11:00am: Range Murata Analogue Live Drawing []
    • 2:30pm: Range Murata Digital Live Drawing and Q & A Session []

Overload NZ Details

  • When: Saturday the 28th of September 10am to 6pm.
  • Where: ASB Stadium, Kohimarama Road, Auckland, New Zealand.
  • How Much?: $5.00 NZD at the door. Children under 5 free.
