1st arcade game in franchise in 13 years to feature Marie Rose

Koei Tecmo Games began streaming an advertising video on Thursday for the arcade version of the Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate fighting game. The game introduces the new character Marie Rose, alongside other characters Kasumi, Ayane, Helena, Hayabusa, Momiji, Hitomi, Ein, Kokoro, Akira, Jann Lee, Leifang, Tina, Bass, Sarah, Jacky, Pai, Gen Fu, Eliot, Brad, Hayate, Christie, Rig, Mariposa, Bayman, Leon, Rachel, Zack, Mila, and Alpha-152.

The game, titled Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Arcade, will be the first arcade game in the franchise in 13 years. The game will be available in arcades in Japan in winter 2013 after Koei Tecmo Games hosts location tests at Club Sega in Shinjuku on November 16-17, at Sega Nanba Avion in Osaka on November 30-December 1, and at Hyper Messe in Fukuoka on December 14-15.

Koei Tecmo Games released Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September. The game added new modes from Dead or Alive+ such as the Skill Info Plus and a tutorial mode, and included new fighting stages such as locations from the Ninja Gaiden series. The game included new fighters, including Jacky, Ein, and the first-ever appearance of Momiji, and also featured both a single-player mode and an online mode.

The Dead or Alive 5+ PS Vita port of the original Dead or Alive 5 game shipped in March in North America and Japan. Koei Tecmo Games released the original Dead or Alive 5 game for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in September 2012.
