Miyazaki's The Wind Rises Nominated for Satellite Awards

Ni No Kuni, Tales of Xillia, Final Fantasy XIV nominated for Outstanding RPG

The International Press Academy announced the nominations for the 18th Annual Satellite Awards, which will be presented in Los Angeles on March 9, 2014. Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki's The Wind Rises film is nominated in the Motion Picture, Animated or Mixed Media category. The film is competing against Turbo, Ernest & Celestine, Frozen, Monsters University, Epic, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, and The Croods.

Nominated in the Outstanding Role Playing Game category are Level 5 and Studio Ghibli's Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Namco Tales Studio's Tales of Xillia, and Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The games are competing against Keen Games' Sacred 3 and Bethesda Studios' The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

The Wind Rises was also submitted for consideration in the Animated Feature Film category for the 86th Academy Awards to be held on March 2, 2014. It is competing in the 41st Annual Annie Awards on February 1, 2014.
