Jo Odagiri Stars in Manga-Based Reverse Edge Live-Action Series

Actor Jo Odagiri (live-action Mushishi's Ginko, Kamen Rider Kuuga's titular character) will star in a live-action adaptation of Yuuhou Hijikata (an alias of Caribu Marley) and Akio Tanaka's (Shamo, Meisō-Ō Border) Reverse Edge: Ōkawabata Tanteisha (Reverse Edge: Ōkawabata Detective Agency) manga. Hitoshi Ohne (Moteki, Yukemuri Sniper, Akihabara @ DEEP) will direct and write the series.
TV Tokyo is also streaming an announcement video for the series.
In Tokyo in a multi-tenant building in Asakusa is the Ōkawabata Detective Agency, where Muraki (Odagiri) investigates mysterious requests by various customers. The agency also consists of Muraki's boss, an enigmatic man who has acquaintances with the underworld, and Megumi, the beautiful receptionist whose personality is bright and relaxed.
Hijikata and Tanaka launched the manga in Nihonbungeisha's Weekly Manga Goraku magazine in 2008, and Nihon Bungeisha published the fourth compiled volume in September 2012.
The late-night drama will premiere on TV Tokyo in April.
