Sony has only announced a release in Japanese & Traditional Chinese languages

Game.com's Taiwan branch is streaming 21 minutes of footage of Sony Computer Entertainment's Japan Studio's Freedom Wars PlayStation Vita game from the Taipei Game Show. The footage features English dialogue but Sony has only announced a release in Japanese and Traditional Chinese languages.

PlayStation Asia also began streaming the official trailer in English on Thursday.

The official website describes the story:

A Story for "Freedom": Sentence for One Million Years
In near future, the world will become an unlivable land for all living creatures. For this reason, people have built cities called “Panopticon” at various locations of the world for survival.

However due to a severer lack of resources and an undesirable living environment, these cities start to conflict with each other. In order to effectively rule the people of Panopticon, most people are put into sentence.

RECAPTURE: Those forced into the servitude were called "criminals", and are forced to participate in war as so-called "volunteers". In order to obtain freedom, the "criminals" fight to "recapture" the city, time and time again.

A trailer premiered last year, and the game itself is scheduled for later this year.

The game was previously teased under the codename "Panopticon." Sony Computer Entertainment filed for a trademark in Europe for "Panopticon" last January.
