Collectors edition to include 12" figure, art book, map, and more

Namco Bandai Games Europe posted a new trailer for its upcoming dark action role-playing video game Dark Souls II on Wednesday.

The video highlights a knight fighting against a fearsome dragon.

From Software revealed Dark Souls II at Spike TV's Video Game Awards in December 2012. The game is a sequel to 2011's Dark Souls action role-playing game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. From Software had previously developed the Armored Core franchise and Demon's Souls game, for which the Dark Souls games serve as a "spiritual sequel."

From Software jointly developed the game with Namco Bandai Games, who will ship the game in North America on March 11 for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The game will ship in Japan on March 13 and in Europe and Australia on March 14. Namco Bandai Games has said that the release date for the PC version is "shortly after console release."

The game will be released in a standard edition, limited Black Armor edition and Collector's Edition. The Black Armor edition will include an upgrade, collectible metal case featuring exclusive art of the warrior knight, dark souls II game and original game soundtrack. It will retail for US$59.99.

The Collector's Edition will include the game, 12" warrior knight figurine, display case, collectible art book, a cloth game map, and everything in the Black Armor edition. It will retail for US$119.99.
