Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN- Arcade Game Gets New Playable Character

Game developer Arc System Works announced on Monday it will add the character Ramlethal Valentine as a playable character in the arcade fighting game Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- (pronounced "Iguzaado") in mid-April. Appearing as boss character who declares war on the entire world, Ramlethal Valentine is a key figure in the game's story. According to game planner Kazutoshi Sekine, Ramlethal Valentine wields two swords for ultra attack moves. Depending on the situation, the swords are detachable and she then reveals her versatile battle style.

The game uses the "GGXrd Players Guild" service that connects to the internet for game rankings and to save knock-outs. Players can listen to their characters' "comments" on their progress, check their gaming profile, and get the latest character statistics.

Arc System Works developed the game using Unreal Engine, and game's objects were entirely done in 3D CG. Daisuke Ishiwatari, who is directing the game, is also scoring the game's soundtrack.

Arc System Works released the arcade version in Japan on February 20, and the company plans to release the game for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 this year.
