Kyō wa Kaisha Yasumimasu. Manga Gets Live-Action TV Series

Haruka Ayase stars in love story about office worker in her 30s

Mari Fujimura's Kyō wa Kaisha Yasumimasu. manga will get a live-action television adaptation starring Haruka Ayase (Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror, Hotaru no Hikari, Socrates in Love) in October.

The love story follows Hanae Aoishi, an office worker in her 30s who has never had a boyfriend. Hanae then starts dating a 21-year-old university student named Yūto Tanokura. Shigeki Kaneko (Honey & Clover, Summer Nude) is handling the scripts, and Hiroko Hazeyama is producing the series.

Fujimura launched the manga in the inaugural issue of Shueisha's Cocohana magazine in November 2011. The manga ranked at #2 in Da Vinci magazine's "Book of the Year" list for Female-Oriented Comics for the first half 2013. Shueisha released the sixth compiled book volume in May.

The series will air on Wednesdays on NTV at 10:00 p.m.
