Princess Resurrection Creator Mitsunaga Will End Nakuaden Manga

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Series about a divine being and a high school boy launched in 2012

The October issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine is announcing on Tuesday that Yasunori Mitsunaga's Nakuaden (NaQa-Den) manga will end in the following issue on September 26. The series launched in 2012 and the fifth compiled volume shipped in June.

The story takes place in a world where ancient Japanese gods are becoming "Kōjin" and causing catastrophes. High school student Tarō Kanda and divine being Nakua soothe the "Kōjin" by defeating unidentified invaders.

Mitsunaga ended his Princess Resurrection (Kaibutsu Oujo) horror comedy manga last year after 20 total volumes. Del Rey published seven volumes the manga in North America, although it stopped publishing the series before Kodansha USA took over its titles. JManga released the first seven volumes on its website but it closed last year.

Sentai Filmworks re-released the television anime version of Princess Resurrection with an English dub on DVD in 2012.

Mitsunaga is also serializing the Hitsugi Tantei D&W manga in Shonengahosha's Monthly Young King magazine.
