William Winckler Prod. to Release Minky Momo Magical Girl Anime as English-Dubbed Features

1st feature film now available on Amazon Instant Video
California-based company William Winckler Productions announced on Monday that it is working with anime studio Production Reed to release the 1982-1983 anime Fairy Princess Minky Momo as a series of English-dubbed movies on Amazon Instant Video.
Each feature will run 82 minutes. The first, titled Minky Momo: Fairy Princess of Dreamland is now available to download for US$14.95.
William Winckler Productions describes the story:
In Minky Momo, a princess from a magical world is sent to Earth to help people recover their lost hopes and dreams. Using her magic, and with the aid of her magical dog, monkey and bird, Minky – known on Earth as “Gigi” – encounters amazing adventures.
The magical girl anime inspired a television series reboot in 1991 and several OAVs. Harmony Gold USA released the Fairy Princess Minky Momo: La ronde in my dream OAV in English as Gigi and the Fountain of Youth.
William Winckler Productions previously released several Toei Animation shows as films.
