Yamada-kun & the 7 Witches Box Set to Bundle Yankee-kun Collaborative Manga, Anime

Miki Yoshikawa writes original collaborative manga for boxset shipping on August 26

The official website for the Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches television anime series revealed on Sunday that the anime's first Blu-ray Disc and DVD box sets will include a Yankee-kun to Megane-chan collaborative manga and anime.

Miki Yoshikawa, the original manga creator for both franchises, is drawing the collaborative manga. The DVD and Blu-ray Disc boxes will ship on August 26 and will include episodes 1-6.

The box set for both versions will also include a postcard to mail out for a lottery to win a raw manuscripts from Yoshikawa. Additional extras include end card postcards for the first six episodes, and preferential lottery cards for an event to be held on November 15. Other video extras include a creditless opening and ending.

The first Blu-ray Disc box set will retail for 20,000 yen (about US$168), and the DVD box set will retail for 16,000 yen (US$134).

The second DVD and Blu-ray Disc box sets with episodes 7-12 will ship on November 24, and the new set will retail for the same price as the first. The second boxset will include the "Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches and the Seven Secrets" program that aired before the start of the anime, episodes of the "Listener-kun and the Two Witches" web radio program on a CD, another lottery postcard to mail out for a raw manuscript by Yoshikawa, end card postcards for episodes 7-12, and a file for all the end card postcards.

The first of six total regular editions of DVD and Blu-ray Disc volumes will ship on June 24. Each volume will include two episodes.

The television anime series premiered in Japan on April 12, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs.
