AnimeLab Adds Actually, I Am… and Durarara!!×2 Ten for Summer Simulcast Season

Siren Visual confirmed the addition of Durarara!!×2 Ten on Facebook earlier today followed shortly after by AnimeLab adding the trailer to their Facebook page. However a screening date has yet to be confirmed.

Actually, I Am… (Jitsu wa Watashi wa) is an all new addition to the Summer Simulcast Season by AnimeLab and they are the first western company to announce streaming of Actually, I Am… A streaming date will be announced in the near future. You can view AnimeLab's announcement here.

Kuromine Asahi is terrible at keeping secrets, but Asahi has just found out that the cute girl he has a crush on is a vampire! If anyone finds out, she'll be immediately expelled. Can Asahi keep her secret? Especially when his fellow pupils around him continues to get weirder by the day?

Based on Eiji Masuda's manga titled Jitsu wa Watashi wa, this adaptation will be directed by Yasutaka Yamamoto (Squid Girl unit director, Hero Bank) at TMS Entertainment from Kenichi Yamashita's (Space Brothers, Fresh Precure!) scripts. Hirotaka Marufuji (Nobunaga The Fool, Macross F) will adapt the characters for animation with music composition being handled by Akito Matsuda (D-Frag!, Dog & Scissors).

Actually, I Am… is slated to premiere on TV Tokyo and other channels on July 6. The series will also air on TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting. At the time of writing this article AnimeLab is the only site outside of Japan to announce simulcast plans.

Masuda launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Champion in 2013 and Akita Shoten has published 11 volumes to date. Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing the original manga in English under the title "My Monster Secret".

Durarara!!×2 Ten

Paths cross and trouble brews as the plot thickens in this complicated web of conspiracies set in Ikebukuro.

Durarara!!×2 Ten is the second part of the second adaptation of Ryohgo Narita's Durarara!! "high-tension suspense action" light novels. Takahiro Ōmori is continuing to direct Durarara!!×2 at studio Shuka with series composition by Noboru Takagi. Takahiro Kishida is back designing the characters for the series and Makoto Yoshimori is providing the music.

Mikado Ryūgamine's voice actor Toshiyuki Toyonaga is not only singing the opening theme song "Day you laugh," but also writing its lyrics and scoring its music. The relatively new twin vocal group REVALCY is performing the ending theme song "Exit."

Durarara!!×2 Ten will premiere on July 4th on Tokyo MX and other channels. The original video anime episode "4.5" from the Durarara!!×2 Shō season debuted in theatrical screenings on Saturday. Aniplex of America has licensed the series in North America and the series will be simulcast via Crunchyroll, Hulu, Viewster, Daisuki, and the Aniplex Channel on July 3rd.

Durarara!!×2 will be broadcast across three split cours (quarters of a year). Durarara!!×2 Shō ("understanding") was broadcast in January 2015 and ran for 12 episodes, Durarara!!×2 Ten ("motion") will start in July 2015 and the set will finish off with Durarara!!×2 Ketsu ("conclusion") in January 2016. Durarara!!×2 will conclude the story from the original light novel series.

Ryohgo Narita's Durarara!! "high-tension suspense action" light novels were launched under ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint in April 2004 and the series concluded it's run in January 2014 after 13 volumes. The series inspired a ongoing manga series in Square Enix's GFantasy magazine since 2009 and this manga has been translated and published in English by Yen Press. A second series, Durarara!! 3way standoff -alley-, is adapted from the video game of the same name and illustrated by Izuko Fujiya, the series has been published in ASCII Media Works' Monthly Sylph magazine since July 2013.

Durarara!! finished it's run with Ryohgo Narita announcing in the 13th volume author notes that the first arc ends at the conclusion of the volume. Narita was quick to assure fans that the series will continue into a second arc to be published under the name Durarara!! SH that will take place two years in the future.

Siren Visual acquired Durarara!! back in October 2010 and has since released the series as both a two part collection and a single complete edition on DVD and later Blu-ray. Durarara!!×2 was announced by Siren Visual in December 2012 and the series was simulcast on AnimeLab.
