Yūsuke Utsumi's Ultra Battle Satellite Manga Ends

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Fighting manga gets 1-shot continuation in Jump+, 3rd compiled volume

This year's 31st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine published the final chapter of Yūsuke Utsumi's Ultra Battle Satellite manga on Monday. The message in the final chapter thanked fans for reading, and noted that the manga will continue with a "large" one-shot that Shueisha will publish in its Shonen Jump+ digital app, as well as in the third compiled volume of the manga when it ships in October.

Utsumi launched the manga in this year's 14th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on March 2. Shueisha will publish the second volume on August 4.

Viz Media published the first three chapters of the series on the same day Shueisha published them in Japan as part of its "Jump Start" initiative. The company described the manga as follows:

Wealth, fame and the thrill of the fight. All of these can be yours in Ultra Battle Satellite! Street fights where the strongest in the world gather to duke it out! Rules? These fights need no rules! Do you have what it takes? Join now!

Viz Media also published the first three chapters of Toshiaki Iwashiro's Kagamigami, Yūki Tabata's Black Clover, and Yū Miki's Cyborg Roggy manga as part of that same initiative in February and March, but the company ultimately chose Black Clover to join the lineup permanently out of the four manga.

Cyborg Roggy ended in Weekly Shonen Jump's 24th issue last month.
