Sony, Kojima Productions Collaborate on PS4 Exclusive Game

Sony announced on Wednesday that it is collaborating with Kojima Productions, a new company formed by game developer and Metal Gear Solid series creator Hideo Kojima, to launch a new game title that will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 platform. Andrew House, Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. President and Global CEO, introduced the project in a video.
The video also reveals the new Kojima Productions logo.
Kojima Productions was initially the name of a Konami subsidiary managed by Kojima that worked primarily on his Metal Gear Solid franchise. Under Konami, it underwent a name change to Kojima Productions Los Angeles, and then Konami Los Angeles Studio, before Konami finally closed it. Kojima officially left Konami after his contract expired on Tuesday.
The rights for the Metal Gear Solid series remain with Konami.
