Honobono Log Art Book of Couples & Families Gets TV Anime

posted on by Egan Loo
Collection of Fukamachi Naka's popular Twitter art inspires anime on NHK

An anime adaptation of Fukamachi Naka Gashū Honobono Log ~Taisetsu na Kimi e~ (Naka Fukamachi Art Collection: Heartwarming Log ~To Precious You), an illustration book by popular artist Naka Fukamachi, will air on the NHK-General channel in Japan. While many manga and novels have inspired anime in the past, there are few art collection books that have inspired anime.

The book offers hearwarming peeks at the lives of close couples and families. Fukamachi posted illustrations under the hashtag #ほのぼのログ (#HonobonoLog) on Twitter and garnered over 520,000 followers.

Kumi Matsui is directing the anime at the studio Fanworks. Rareko is drawing the storyboards and Ame no Parade is composing the music.

Ichijinsha published the book in 2014, and it will publish a second one, Honobono Log II ~Taisetsu na Kimi to~ (Heartwarming Log ~With Precious You~), in mid-July.
