Also adds 2nd The Heroic Legend of Arslan season

Funimation Entertainment updated its list of summer simulcasts on Wednesday with four more titles: Cheer Boys!! (Cheer Danshi!!), The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan), Puzzle & Dragons X, and The Heroic Legend of Arslan: Dust Storm Dance.

All simulcasts will be available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Ireland except Arslan, which will be US and Canada only.

Cheer Boys!! adapts Ryō Asai's novel. The anime will premiere streaming in the US on July 5 at 10:30 a.m. The series will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and TV Aichi on July 5, and on BS11 on July 6.

Funimation describes the story:

Haruki Bandou was born into a family of Judo marital artists and expected to continue the family legacy. But he's about to trade Judo for…cheerleading?! When his childhood friend Kazuma Hashimoto invites him to join the BREAKERS, a male cheerleading club, Haru finds himself amongst a quirky group of boys. Can this squad of slightly odd and cute members make a breakthrough in college athletics?

Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee manga creator Hiroyuki Asada is providing the original character designs for the series. Ai Yoshimura (Blue Spring Ride, Dance with Devils) is directing the series at Brains Base, and Reiko Yoshida (Girls und Panzer, Haruchika – Haruta & Chika) is handling the series composition. Hitomi Tsuruta is adapting Asada's designs for animation and is also serving as chief animation director. Rock band Luck Life is performing the opening theme song "Hajime no Ippo" (First Step). The seven main cast members of the anime are performing the ending theme song "LIMIT BREAKERS" under the unit name BREAKERS.

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. adapts Shūichi Asō's manga from Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. The anime will premiere in Japan as a "double broadcast," airing in the mornings Mondays-Fridays within the Oha-Suta ("Good Morning Star") program on TV Tokyo, and at night on TV Tokyo, TV Aichi, and TV Osaka. The morning broadcast will air five episodes each week, and the late-night broadcast will collect those five episodes and air them together. The anime's morning broadcast will premiere on July 4 at 7:05 a.m., and the late-night broadcast will premiere on July 10 at 25:35 (effectively July 11 at 1:35 a.m.).

Funimation describes the story:

Kusuo Saiki is a typical 16-year-old high school student… except he has psychic powers. He can use them to get whatever he wants, but he also knows everything that people are thinking. Everything. No surprises, no secrets, no normal human experiences. He's kept his powers in check since childhood, but with the temptations of high school now on his mind, he's bending the rules—and spoons.

Hiroaki Sakurai (Di Gi Charat, Maid Sama!) is directing the anime at Egg Firm and J.C. Staff, and Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Kyōkai no Rinne) is in charge of series composition. Masayuki Onji (Kimi to Boku., Aoi Hana) is in charge of character design. The new special musical unit Saikic Lover will perform background music for the anime. The group consists of vocalist Yoffy, guitarist Imajo, and arranger Kenichirō Ōishi. Natsuki Hanae will perform the late-night broadcast's opening theme song, and Dempagumi.inc will perform the late-night broadcast's ending theme song.

Puzzle & Dragons X ties to the Nintendo 3DS puzzle role-playing game, which is slated to ship in Japan on July 28 in two versions: "Kami no Shō" (God Chapter) and "Ryū no Shō" (Dragon Chapter). The anime will premiere on July 4 on TV Tokyo, and will air on Mondays at 6:25 p.m.

Funimation describes the story:

From the studio Pierrot, that brought you Kingdom and Tokyo Ghoul comes a series based off of the hit game Puzzle & Dragons. Dorogoza Island is rich in “Drop Energy” that players can use on friendly monsters. Once strong enough, they can face enemies in puzzle wars. Winners reap rewards, but what happens to the losers? Only the brave can take on these monstrous challenges!

The new season of The Heroic Legend of Arslan will be eight episodes long, and it will premiere in Japan on July 3. The new season will air on Sundays at 5 p.m. on MBS and TBS, which is the "Nichigo" timeslot.

Funimation describes the story:

From the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist comes the conclusion of an epic adventure. The Lusitania forces continue to hold rule over the Kingdom of Pars despite Arslan's fierce battle against Lord Silver Mask. Arslan continues to fight for his rightful throne, but there are still many conflicts left to resolve. But the biggest mystery—who are his parents? And is that an answer he's prepared to face?

The staff and cast are returning to the new series, but Kyō Yamashita is the new CG director, replacing Daisuke Suzuki, and Tatsuya Shimano is replacing Hiroshi Adachi as the modeling director. Felix Film is replacing SANZIGEN with the 3DCGI. Eir Aoi (Sword Art Online, Fate/Zero) will perform the new season's opening theme song "Tsubasa" (Wings), and Kalafina (Madoka Magica, first season of The Heroic Legend of Arslan) will perform the ending theme song "blaze."
