Anime to feature 2 new characters, cast to be revealed on October 2

The 10th anniversary Niconico broadcast for the Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel franchise announced on Friday that a new anime and an iOS and Android game are in the works.

The staff plans to reveal the title and logo of the anime on July 24 and the cast on October 2. The anime's new characters, Meguru Amatsuki (left) and Sumire Kisaragi (right), are pictured below.

The Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel ~Soshite Shinwa no Otome-tachi~ smartphone game is slated for release in early 2017, and it will be a novel game that reunites the staff of the Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel ~Toki to Sekai no Meikyū~ PlayStation Portable game. The game will feature a new character who resembles Lilia, and Ai Shimizu will voice the new character. The game will have an initial cost to play, but then will not have any additional charges. Additionally, Sakura Saori will perform the game's theme song "Color of Tears."

The franchise began with the first Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel pachislo (slot machine for pachinko parlors) game in 2006. The franchise then spawned a two-part original video anime (OVA) in 2008, followed by a television anime in 2011. A second original video anime project, Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel: Kyun Kyun Tokimeki Paradise!!, shipped in January 2015. Crunchyroll streamed the television anime series under the title Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise.

In addition to the line of pachislo games and the PSP adventure game in 2011, the franchise also inspired a PC visual novel in 2009.
