Akuma no Riddle Assassin Girl Manga Ends

5th volume slated for December; manga inspired TV anime in 2014

The November issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Newtype magazine is publishing the final chapter of writer Yun Kouga and artist Sunao Minakata's Akuma no Riddle: Riddle Story of Devil manga on Saturday. The manga's fifth volume is slated for release in Japan in December.

Seven Seas is publishing the manga in North America, and it describes the story:

Happy-go-lucky Haru Ichinose is an upbeat, all-smiles kind of girl. At a prestigious all-girls boarding school, Haru is one of the most popular girls on campus. The attention paid to her, however, is about to turn deadly. Enter Tokaku Azuma, a cold-blooded female assassin, who moves from one mission to the next with deadly precision. The heartless Tokaku has set her sights on Haru as her next target.

What should have been a routine hit turns into a far more complicated affair as Tokaku is unable to pull the trigger on Haru. As Tokaku copes with her strange, budding feelings, will she decide to save Haru's life or end it?

Kouga and Minakata launched the manga in Monthly Newtype in August 2012. Kadokawa published the manga's fourth compiled book volume on January 23, and Seven Seas published the same volume on July 19. The manga inspired a 12-episode television anime adaptation in April 2014. Funimation streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and released it on DVD last December with an English dub.
