Yen Press to Publish Horimiya Artist's Ne Ne Ne Manga Simultaneously With Japan

posted on by Karen Ressler
Story of naïve married couple with big age gap began last July

North American manga publisher Yen Press announced on Friday that it will publish new chapters of Shizuka Totono and Daisuke Hagiwara's NE NE NE manga as they debut in Japan. The first four chapters will launch on February 10, and new chapters will be available monthly.

Yen Press describes the story:

What's it about? Married off to a man more than twenty years her senior, Koyuki has no idea what her new life has in store for her. She's so in the dark, in fact, that she hasn't even seen her husband's face! But Koyuki isn't alone in fumbling through the intricacies of wedded bliss. Mask-donning Shin might have many years on his young wife, but as it turns out, he's just as naïve as she is! Will this pair of innocents ever get past their awkwardness (and the age gap)?!

The series began in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan as a short-term serialization last July. The third and final chapter ran in September, at which time the magazine announced that it will relaunch as a full series in 2017. The series will begin again in the magazine's March issue on February 10. Hagiwara provides the art and Totono writes the story.

Hagiwara launched his ongoing Horimiya manga in Monthly G Fantasy in 2011 as a spinoff to HERO's Hori-san to Miyamura-kun four-panel school comedy manga. The tenth and most recent compiled volume shipped in November. Yen Press is publishing the manga in North America, and shipped the sixth volume on January 24.
