Novel focusing on Shūhei Hisagi launches on Jump+, official Bleach app

This year's combined 21st and 22nd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing the title on Monday for Ryohgo Narita's (Baccano!, Durarara!!) new Bleach novel based on Tite Kubo's manga.

The novel is titled Bleach: Can’t Fear Your Own World, and it will launch on both the Shonen Jump+ app and the official Bleach app on April 28. The apps will update with new content for the novel every other week.

Narita's novel centers on Shūhei Hisagi. Shūhei must throw himself into a new fight as the mystery that Kaname Tōsen left behind resurfaces. The story will reveal more details about the four noble families, the Soul King, Arrancar, and Fullbringers. Narita previously wrote the two-volume Bleach: Spirits Are Forever With You novel series, which Shueisha published in 2012.

Makoto Matsubara released the Bleach: WE DO knot ALWAYS LOVE YOU novel (pictured at right) on December 27. The novel centers on Rukia and Renji's wedding ceremony in Soul Society. Matsubara previously wrote the Bleach: The Death Save The Strawberry novel, which Shueisha published in 2012.

Weekly Shonen Jump lists that Matsubara and Narita's novels are part of the "last novelization" project for Bleach.

Kubo launched Bleach in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001, and ended it on August 22. Viz Media published the manga in North America digitally in English as Shueisha published new chapters in Japan. Viz Media is also publishing the manga in print.
