TOKU Premieres 3 Ultra Tokusatsu Series in August (Update)

Neo Ultra Q, Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster, Ultraman Zero: The Chronicles to air

Olympusat, Inc.'s television channel TOKU announced on Tuesday that it will air the Neo Ultra Q, Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster, and Ultraman Zero: The Chronicles live-action television series.

TOKU will premiere the Neo Ultra Q series on August 15, and it will air on weekdays at 7:00 p.m. EDT. TOKU describes the series:

Based on the fan-favorite classic Ultra Q, this 12-episode series tells the story of three brave friends who risk their lives investigating bizarre monster appearances, strange ecological catastrophes and paranormal events.

The series premiered in Japan in 2013. Gakuryū Ishii, Yasutomo Nakai, Yū Irie, and Kiyotaka Taguchi directed the series, which stars Seiichi Tanabe and Rin Takanashi.

TOKU will premiere the Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster series on August 31, and it will air on weekdays at 7:00 p.m. EDT. TOKU describes the series:

Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster is an adaptation of the popular video game Mega Monster Battle. This 26-episode Japanese series follows the story of a fearless space crew who fights against powerful monsters in a distant planet across the universe.

The series premiered in Japan in 2007. Yūichi Kikuchi, Tsugumi Kitaura, and Hirochika Muraishi directed the series, which stars Shōta Minami and Saki Kamiryo.

TOKU will premiere the Ultraman Zero: The Chronicles series on August 31, and it will air on weekdays at 7:30 p.m. EDT. TOKU describes the series:

One of the latest installments of the popular Ultra series. Ultraman Zero: The Chronicles is a 26-episode tokusatsu television series that follows the adventures of Ultraman Zero, the son of the legendary Ultra Seven, as he fights against some of the most powerful kaiju humanity has ever seen.

The series premiered on January 7 earlier this year. Kōichi Sakamoto directed the series, which stars Mamoru Miyano.

Toku has also recently aired Ultraseven X, Ultraman Nexus, Ultraman Neos, Ultraman 80, and Ultraman Max. The newest Ultraman series, Ultraman Gedd, is streaming on Crunchyroll. William Winckler Productions revealed earlier this month that it has recorded English dubs for the Mega Monster Battle Ultra Galaxy The Movie, Ultraman Zero The Revenge of Belial, and Ultraman Saga films.
