Earth Defense Force 5 Game's Subtitled Promo Reveals December 7 Release Date for Japan

D3 Publisher began streaming its Tokyo Game Show trailer for Earth Defense Force 5 with English subtitles on Tuesday. The video reveals the PlayStation 4 game's December 7 release date for Japan.

D3 Publisher also began streaming the game's fifth promotional video on Thursday.

The game was initially slated for this summer but D3 Publisher delayed the game to improve its quality.

In the game, the Earth is at peace when suddenly an alien life form called "immigrants" attack, and the EDF must again take up arms against the invaders. The new enemy in this latest game in the series is a humanoid enemy.

Yuke and D3 Publisher announced at Tokyo Game Show on Tuesday that another PS4 game, titled Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain, will debut in 2018.
