SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy Game's Trailer Teases Story, Features

NIS America began streaming a features trailer for its SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy fighting game on Friday. The video previews the playable characters, battle, character customization, and photoshoot mode. The video also teases a story where the heroines awaken in a mysterious castle and are told by a mysterious voice that they must participate in a "special event" to escape.
The game will ship for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on September 6.
NIS America is partnering with SNK to release the game on both consoles in North America and Europe on September 7. NIS America will release the game physically and digitally on both consoles, but the PS4 retail version will only be available as a limited edition on the official SNK Online Store.
The limited Diamond Dream Edition for both Nintendo Switch and PS4 retails for US$119.99 and includes the game, a deluxe hardcover artbook, a two-disc original soundtrack, a lapel pin set, a large sleeveless shirt, a "fatal cutie" cap, a 12" x 42" workout towel, a wrist sweatband, and the deluxe collector's box.
The two-on-two tag-team fighting game will feature characters from the SNK universe, including Athena Asamiya, Kula Diamond, Leona Heidern, Mai Shiranui, Yuri Sakazaki, Nakoruru, Sylvie Paula Paula, Shermie, Zarina, Love Heart, Luong, Mian, and Mui Mui. NIS America and SNK will reveal one more character to join the roster at another date. The game will also include special Dream Finish techniques and character customization with up to 100 accessories.
