Manga Life Momo Magazine Ends Publication

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
4-panel manga magazine launched in 2003

The December issue of Takeshobo's Manga Life MOMO four-panel manga magazine revealed on October 29 that the January 2019 issue is its last. The issue shipped on Wednesday and included the message, "Thank you so much for reading for 15 years. Let's meet again somewhere."

All of the manga that had been currently serializing in the magazine appeared on the cover of the final issue. The issue published special manga by Chino Kurumi, Rū Tatuki, Tamami Momose, Shunji Kosaka, and Shippo Usui. The group of serializing creators and "legend guests" also provided a memorial four-panel manga.

Tae Sano's Morita-san wa Mukuchi manga will continue in Takeshobo's Manga Club and Manga Life Official magazines. Tōko Shiwasu's Okusama wa Idol, Etsuya Mashima's FamiRes no Nagai-san, Kaname Uchimura's Oniichan Before After, and other series will move to Manga Club, while Rikō Anzai's Oneechan ga Kita will continue in Manga Life.

Tomoya Kuroya's Sango-san no Garage Sale and Yuine's Haritoge Clemmie to Ō no Niwa manga ended in the final issue of the magazine.
