Dr. Mario World Game Announced for Smartphones

Nintendo partners with LINE for new free-to-play game

Nintendo and LINE Corporation announced on Friday that they are partnering to co-develop an action puzzle game titled Dr. Mario World for smartphones. The game is slated for release in early summer in about 60 countries and regions, including Japan and the United States. The game will be free to download with in-app purchases.

The latest Dr. Mario game was Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure, which debuted in 2015.

LINE Corporation owns and operates the LINE social networking and instant messaging app, which first launched in Japan in 2011.
