Spike Chunsoft Brings AI: The Somnium Files, Crystar Staff to Anime Expo

Kōtarō Uchikoshi, Yūsuke Kozaki, Fuyuki Hayashi, RIUCHI, vTuber A-set to attend event

Spike Chunsoft announced on Wednesday that it will bring writer and game developer Kōtarō Uchikoshi, artists Yūsuke Kozaki and RIUCHI, game developer Fuyuki Hayashi, and virtual YouTuber A-set to Anime Expo.

Uchikoshi and Kozaki are working together on Spike Chunsoft's AI: The Somnium Files game. The game will debut this September.

Uchikoshi is perhpas best known as the writer for the Zero Escape game series (Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, Virtue's Last Reward, Zero Time Dilemma). He was also a writer for KID's Memories Off game series, which inspired five original video anime (OVA). He is known for being the planner and writer for the Infinity series of visual novels (Never 7, Ever 17, Remember 11, 12Riven). Uchikoshi also wrote the scripts for the Punch Line anime, and wrote the original concept for The Girl in Twilight anime.

Kozaki has provided character designs for many game and anime projects, but is perhaps best known recently for his character designs on the Fire Emblem: Awakening, Fire Emblem: Fates, and No More Heroes games. His Donyatsu manga inspired a net anime in 2013. He has also provided character designs for the Speed Grapher, BBK/BRNK, and Under the Dog, as well as the Godzilla CG anime trilogy, and the upcoming Human Lost film.

Hayashi and RIUCHI are working together on Furyu Corporation's Crystar game. The game will debut this August.

Hayashi is the director of the Crystar game, while RIUCHI is the character designer.

Spike Chunsoft will have three panels at the event. The Spike Chunsoft panel is scheduled for July 4 at 10:30 a.m. The AI: The Somnium Files community panel is scheduled for July 5 at 10:00 a.m. The AI: The Somnium Files game panel is scheduled for July 6 at 10:00 a.m.

This year's Anime Expo will take place from July 4 to 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and the surrounding area.
