Indonesian publisher M&C! announced on Thursday that it has licensed Chitose Yagami's Honey Days, Yamaji Hidenori's Marry Grave, Yukimo Hoshimori's Lazy in Love, and Chihiro Komori's My Angelic, Devilish Boyfriend. All four manga will begin releasing on July 31.
Honey Days centers on 15-year-old high school girl Haruka Takase, a normal student who lives with Keisuke Kamino, a 17-year-old actor, her childhood friend, and widely known to be the actor who is everyone's "number one boyfriend material." Haruka feels like they live in two different worlds, which only worsens when Keisuke starts getting busier at work, and they have fewer chances to see each other.
Yagami launched the manga in Shogakukan's Ciao magazine, and ended it last September. Shogakukan published the manga's third and final compiled book volume last November.
Yagami's earlier Ore-sama Kingdom manga was adapted into two anime specials. M&C! released all 12 volumes of the Ore-sama Kingdom manga under the title My Kingdom. M&C! also released all four volumes of Yagami's Secret Idol (Himitsu no Ōji-sama) manga.
M&C! describes Marry Grave:
In this story set in the past, when monsters rampaged through the land free to kill humans, there was a man named Sawyer Riseman. His journey was long and arduous, where he defied death to find the ingredients needed for the "Deadman's Recipe," a spell rumored to raise the dead. With that recipe, Sawyer sought to bring back Rosalie, his long-dead wife.
Hidenori launched the manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in December 2017, and ended it on January 16. Shogakukan published the manga's fifth and final compiled book volume on March 18.
Hoshimori's Lazy in Love (Koisuru Lazy) manga centers on Kano Momosawa, a serious, diligent, punctual, yet clumsy high school girl. She meets and gets to know Reiji Miyano, a tall and sharp-witted boy who seems able to do everything, but is too lazy to put in any effort.
Hoshimori launched the manga in Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine in March 2018, and it is ongoing. Shogakukan published the manga's fifth compiled book volume on March 26, and will publish the sixth volume on July 26.
M&C is publishing Hoshimori's Between the Sky and You (Sora to Kimi to) manga, and has also previously published her Cold Heart (Kare wa Tsumetai Furi o Shite), Honey Vanilla Latte Please!!, Love Train (Katakoi Densha), Sweet and Sour Love (Ringo wa Koi Zuppai), Mysterious You (Himitsu na Kimi ni Koi o Shita), When Mitsuba is in Love (Koisuru Mitsuba), and You, I Love manga. You, I Love inspired a live-action film adaptation that opened in Japan last November and ranked at #3 in its opening weekend.
M&C! describes Komori's My Angelic, Devilish Boyfriend (Tenshi Mitai na Kimi wa Akuma na Kareshi!?):
Since childhood, Hayu has never won against Yuki-chan, her genius of a neighbor and childhood friend. But when Yuki-chan moved, Hayu could finally content herself in being number one in everything. But after 10 years, Yuki-chan moved back. With his newfound good looks to go along with his brain, he attracts a fascination that threatens to topple Hayu from her position. But behind his angelic face lies a demonic attitude that he lets only Hayu see.
Komori and Shogakukan published the manga in February 2018.
Komori previously drew the Popin Q mini manga based on the Popin Q anime film. Komori also draws the tie-in manga to the Aikatsu Friends! anime.
