M&C! Licenses Yagami-kun, You're So Mean!, First Love Rhapsody, More Manga

Indonesian publisher M&C! announced last week that it has licensed Yui Harada's I'll Do Whatever He Wants, Saki Aikawa's Yagami-kun, You' re So Mean!, Aki Mochida's First Love Rhapsody, Chia Teshima's Love in Spring, Miyuki Kitagawa's Silly Little Thing Called Love, and Aya Oda's The Secret Bouquet.

M&C! describes I'll Do Whatever He Wants (Ijiwaru Kareshi no Oose no Mama ni):

Toki, Mika's classmate, seems like the perfect guy on the outside: perfect, flawless looks and equally flawless in studies and sports.

But he spurned every romantic advance toward him. Until Mika found out about his secret and became Toki's "love training" partner.

The book compiles six one-shot manga from Harada, including the title story. Shogakukan published the book in August 2018.

M&C! previously published all two volumes of Harada's Boys Next Door (Otonari wa 1-Ken de 2-Do Oishii) manga, as well as the Because It's You (Kao ga Ii Kara Yurushichau) manga.

M&C! describes Yagami-kun, You' re So Mean! (Yagami-kun wa, Kyō mo Ijiwaru):

Shizuku didn't get along so well with handsome guys, but as a favor to a friend, she was forced to interact with Takami Yagami-kun, a popular and handsome guy in the same class as her.

But Shizuku got the wrong idea and actually ended up talking to Kaede, Takami's twin brother! In contrast to his brother, Kaede was the cold, calculating sort. One day, he suddenly ordered Shizuku to be his girlfriend. Of course, Shizuku refused. But what lies in store for their relationship?

Aikawa launched the manga in Margaret in August 2016. Shueisha published the manga's 10th compiled book volume on June 25. The manga is heading toward its climax.

M&C! published Aikawa's Is This Feeling Love in February 2016, and also published all three volumes of Aikawa's In Love with You (Kimi to Koi no Tochū) manga.

M&C! will release the first volume of First Love Rhapsody (Hajimete Koi o Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi) on September 4.

The manga centers on 31-year-old woman Junko Harumi. She fulfilled her parents' expectations and graduated with top marks in both middle and high school. However, after she failed her college entrance exams, she lost her motivation. She was not passionate when it came time to look for a job, and has been leading an aimless life ever since. Her life begins to change when she meets a high school boy who was even labeled by his own father as good for nothing.

Mochida launched the manga in Shueisha's Cookie magazine in May 2016. Shueisha published the manga's ninth volume on July 25.

The manga is inspiring a live-action adaptation.

M&C! previously published all seven volumes of Mochida's Top Notch (Pika Ichi) manga, as well as the Love After Loose Leaf (Loose Leaf), Royal Straight, and Blue Ribbon manga.

M&C! will release the Love in Spring (Haru wa Watashi o Baka ni Suru) manga on September 4. It describes the manga:

Nao has a crush on her classmate Shun, a boy who leads a carefree life and often swaps between romantic partners. Throughout this entire time, Nao's love remained unrequited, and even she had to admit that her love for him was foolish.

And yet they often meet in a secret place known only to the two of them. Can Nao's efforts bear fruit, and Shun will eventually take a liking to her?

Teshima launched the manga in Shogakukan's Betsucomi magazine in 2018, and ended it in May of the same year. Shogakukan published one compiled book volume for the manga in August 2018.

M&C! will release the Silly Little Thing Called Love (Ii Toshi Shite Koi da no Ai da no Baka Mitai na Watashi-tachi) manga on August 28. It describes the manga:

Ah, what an idiot I am. Even as an adult, I'm falling in love with such an idiot.

Before I knew it, I began to like someone for a stupid reason. My behavior followed suit and became disordered when that feeling intoxicated me. And when that love is gone, my tears will surely flow.

The book collects one-shot manga by Kitagawa. Shogakukan published the book last September.

Kitagawa's Seisei Suru hodo, Ai Shiteru manga inspired a live-action series that premiered in 2016.

M&C! will release the The Secret Bouquet (Aishi Kimi ni Sasagu Hana) manga on August 28. It describes the manga:

"Once we get married, let's split up." That was the statement Asuka got from her boyfriend Nao. It was not long after when a man calling himself Nao's best friend came into Asuka's life. To Asuka, he begged, "Make this wedding ceremony fail."

Without knowing his true intentions, Asuka followed the man to where the wedding was being held, where all sorts of emotions begins to rise to the surface.

The six stories tell the stories of relationships wrapped in secrets and lies.

The book collects six one-shot manga by Oda. Shogakukan published the book in May 2017.
