Film was slated to open in Malaysia on June 17

Muse Malaysia announced on Tuesday that it has postponed its planned theatrical screening of the BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia I: Promise anime film. The film was slated to open in Malaysia on June 17. Muse Malaysia did not announce a reason for the delay, and also did not announce a new opening date for the film.

The Malaysian government reinstituted a "total lockdown" from June 1 until June 14 in light of rising daily infection rates. A four-week "phase 2" lockdown will be instituted afterward if and when daily infection rates lower at an acceptable rate.

The film is the first in a two-film project focused on the "Roselia" in-story band of the BanG Dream! franchise. BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia I: Promise opened in Japan on April 23, and it ranked at #5 in its opening weekend. BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia II: Song I am. will open on June 25.

The BanG Dream! FILM LIVE 2nd Stage anime film will open in Japan on August 20.

The BanG Dream! Poppin' Dream! film is slated to open in 2022.

The BanG Dream! FILM LIVE anime film based on the BanG Dream! franchise opened in 56 theaters in Japan in September 2019. The film earned more than 300 million yen (about US$2.75 million) at the Japanese box office by the following month. SANZIGEN returned to animate the film, and Bushiroad distributed the film. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the film.

The main BanG Dream! television anime's first 13-episode season premiered in January 2017, and Animax Asia aired the anime as it aired in Japan. The anime's second season premiered in January 2019. The BanG Dream! 3rd Season television anime debuted in January 2020. Muse Asia streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

Argonavis from BanG Dream! Animation, the television anime based on franchise's Argonavis all-male band, premiered in April 2020. That part of the franchise is receiving a compilation film this fall, as well as an all-new film in summer 2022.
