November 26th, 2010 -- Upper Darby, PA -- Some said it couldn't be done. Others claimed that we "bit off more than we could chew". Well, folks, we're beating the odds again with yet another season of "the world's most extreme Asian culture fusion festival", The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational! Coming at you on November 27th & 28th, 2010 from Philly, PA's The Rotunda, TAKII 10 ~Family Reunion~ is the ultimate gift to its fans by way of an intimate retrospective of the best (& worst) moments & memories of seasons-gone-by & a special insider's peek at what's in store for this incomparable phenom in the weeks, months, & years ahead. Featuring epic mash-ups of some classic TAKII festivities, our largest roster of guests & performers to date, & some holiday cheer, TAKII 10 promises to be THE season NO ONE is going to want to miss!
FESTIVITIES
With over 25+ different festivities to enjoy this season, TAKII 10 ~Family Reunion~ exemplifies what it means to be an all-inclusive festival for people from all walks of life. This season's "Vid Game Tourneys" boasts a record 37 games to be potentially played, while our "TLO Vid Lounge" offerings bring unto the TAKII fan dozens of screenings of titles from the TAKII Video Archive (including a montage of moments from TAKII ~Ichiban~ all the way to TAKII 9 ~Yume Ga Kanau~)!!

Featuring AX Idol 2010 Champion Mario Bueno, 6 "Returning Legends" (D-chan, Sorahana, [Ai], Sinh Synthetik Dokudel, & Jeffrey Branch), & 4 "Charity Beneficiaries" ("DATTE" Awards Recipients, The Foundation, Upper Darby, PA Libraries, & The William Way Community Center) TAKII 10's "Guests & Performers" are guaranteed to tear the house down during our "Makenai: Fusion Charity Benefit Concert" & touch your hearts all throughout this very special weekend.

With some space modifications (most of which is slated to be completed in time for TAKII 11 in May 2011), The Rotunda welcomes The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational for yet another season of hilarity as only can be experienced by attending TAKII 10 ~Family Reunion~. Gina Renzi (Director of The Rotunda) has played a huge role in helping us establish & maintain an effective presence in the Greater Philadelphia region (& beyond) & no words can express how much TAKII & its fans appreciate her unconditional support.

It's hard to think that in less than 5 years, The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational has come all this way, thanks to all of you who have supported us through the years. While we might be looking ahead to the awesomeness that awaits us all at TAKII 10 ~Family Reunion~ this weekend, we can't help but to think of all the memories we all have made together that have no only changed minds, but hearts of people within & beyond the scope of Asian culture fandom. When you have kids running up to you, thanking & hugging you for giving them the courage to overcome their insecurities & display their talents for the TAKII world to see, it can put a knot in your throat & a tear of joy in your eye. Established in February 2006, The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational is the world's most extreme Asian culture fusion festival, featuring 2 main seasons & numerous other co-branded events & performances throughout each year. With maverick innovations such as the TAKII Show, Project DATTE, Gaming Live On PPV, & the TAKII World Tour, it entertains, inspires, & enriches the lives of its fans worldwide on a continuous basis.

From its humble beginnings as a small fundraiser to its unparalleled rise in adoration & respect within Asian culture fandom, this season will serve as yet another launching pad for many more years of fusion festival awesomeness. It hasn't always been easy, but it has always been a labor of love. And with open arms, TAKII 10 ~Family Reunion~ welcomes YOU, the TAKII fanatics, "home" to the "house of hardcore Asian fusion fandom" & the many memories that are waiting to be made, 1 supporter at a time.
