GEN Manga Announces the Release of Alive

NEW YORK, NY – Gen Manga Entertainment, Inc. announces the upcoming release of GEN 5. (GEN 5 156 pages, black and white, $2.99) will be available Sept, 2011. GEN 3 is now free!

Alive is the newest edition to GEN, America's number one source for authentic indie manga. The anthology is gaining momentum and its newest edition introduces a thought provoking new tale that calls to mind such great writers as the infamous Haruki Murakami.

Alive, inundated with sexual innuendo, is a psychological foray that continues to push the envelope of what readers have come to know as manga. Delving into feelings of guilt, inadequacy, and suppressed sexuality, this story leaves a strange aftertaste that begs readers want to revisit it more than once.

Manga is a medium that covers just about anything imaginable. But one of the most beautiful concepts about manga is that it is not limited to super heroes. Manga represents gripping tales, identifiable characters, and plots that are as intricate as most any western novel. Manga, for the most part, is a beautiful way to tell stories as it combines the written word with visual appeal. Alive is yet another interesting new adventure into graphic story telling.

GEN 5 continues the series KAMEN, where another surprising layer is reveled, molding the face of the fantasy genre. Wolf, the retro boxing drama, draws readers into emotional investment as the story continues to round out. And the final conclusion to VS Aliens is revealed.

GEN stories are published nowhere else in the world. These stories are created by the elusive doujin creators in Tokyo's secret underground circles, otherwise known in the west as independent creators and hard core fans.

Presenting new indie manga circles from Japan, GEN, a monthly publication, will be released in the US and Japan simultaneously. Digital format and print editions for GEN are available now. Based in New York, Gen Manga Entertainment (www.genmanga.com) endeavors to publish new and unseen graphic work from Japan, being in the unique position to bring readers work first, more original and untamed manga will be sure to come!
