ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA SHOW ON 6-7TH OCTOBER 2012 AT OLYMPIA GRAND HALL

Get ready for this year's Entertainment Media Show. There are too many big-name guests to list, including the likes of Vic Mignogna (voice actor of Edward Elric, amongst other 100 other anime roles), the entire cast of Red Dwarf, Robert Englund, Jonathan Frakes and many many more! Entertainment Media Show has something for everyone, whether you enjoy cosplay, j-culture, anime, manga, video gaming, sci-fi, fantasy or movies! ANIME ZONE

Attendees should start saving up now for the many-many anime dealers who shall be selling your favourite DVDs, manga, merchandise and goodies in the Anime Zone!

And if that wasn't enough there will be signings and free talks and Q&As on stage throughout the day from Vic Mignogna - voice actor of over 100 anime roles(!), best known for his dub role of Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist (which earned him an American Anime Award for Best Actor in 2007) and the alternate/followup series Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. He also voices Broly in Dragon Ball Z films, Forbesii in Shuffle!, Tamaki Suoh in Ouran High School Host Club, Fai D. Flowright in Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Ikkaku Madarame in Bleach, Nagato in Naruto Shippuden, Dark Mousy in D.N.Angel, and Zero and Ichiru Kiryu in Vampire Knight. Recently he has done the voices for Spirit Albarn in Soul Eater, Yoshimori Sumimura in Kekkaishi, and Nagato and Fuen in Naruto Shippuden. He is the voice of E-123 Omega from the SEGA franchise Sonic the Hedgehog

VIDEO GAMES ZONE

The Video Game Zone shall be even bigger and better this year with even more screens and consoles than before. As well as companies in attendance, we shall also be running a fan-zone area which shall offer a host of casual-play and tournaments throughout the day!

Grab your friends and come along to challenge others across a variety of multi-player games! There will also be a number of consoles for people to sit down and chill-out, as well as a DDR area with a full DDR cabinet.

Tournaments will include Super Mario Smash Bros, DDR, Mario Kart, Super Street Fighter IV and Guitar Hero. Winning a tournament will get you a cash-prize!

COSPLAY ZONE

The Cosplay Zone is back bigger and better than ever! Not only do we have the masquerade on each day with a massive £100 prize to each winner, but we also have a series of cosplay talks and presentations on stage and displays! If that was not enough there's the Talent Show, The Skit Show, themed cosplay days, a photography area, a chillout area for meets, cosplay displays, and much more!

Full changing facilities will be available for cosplayers in the zone throughout the day as well as a chillout spot for you to sit down and get to know fellow-cosplayers.

Want to make a cosplay group? If you are looking to arrange a cosplay group, please use the Showmasters cosplay forum at http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index.php?showforum=53 to do so. Just make a topic which the group idea you have in mind, or reply to other existing topics.

COSPLAY GROUP PHOTOSHOOTS - WE WANT TO INVOLVE YOU MORE!

We Want to Involve You More! Following the massive-popularity of the impromptu Doctor-Who photoshoot at last October's Entertainment Media Show, we can confirm that the 2nd stage between the times of 4pm to 5pm on both days (just after the Masquerade) shall be given over for Cosplay Group Photoshoots on stage. Groups are many people on stage following a similiar theme (ie: from a specific show, style etc, it can be wide-ranging).

COMICS ZONE

Entertainment Media Show will have a dedicated comics area. Make sure to check out the Comics Zone which will have numerous guests and professional artists, including Carlos Pacheco, Dan Slott, Liam Shalloo, Lee Townsend, Henry Davies, Hal Laren and more. There will also be an extensive range of small-press artists and comic-creators.

In the interests of supporting the art-community, art-tables are available for the entire weekend at a heavily discounted £40 per table. Please email [email protected] to apply for one.

ARTIST ALLEY

In addition to the Comics Zone, there will also still be the Artists Alley for amateur comic & manga artists to chill out, draw and meet other artists. No experience required and absolute beginners are more than welcome!

At the very front of the Artist Alley resides the Art Wall that will be up throughout the day for you to pin your artwork to. The top three pieces of artwork as judged by our panel of professionals at the end of the day will win prizes!

There shall be numerous events, talks, panels and workshops going on throughout the day. This shall include portfolio building workshops, an all-day comics strip which everyone can contribute to, figure-drawing classes and much much more!

J-CULTURE ZONE

The J Culture Area this year will be home to a wide variety of attractions! There will be culture talks from Japanese Culture expert Akemi Solloway (www.akemisolloway.com) , the daughter of an old samurai family. These will include the chance to try on a kimono and learn about the garment's origin, and to take part in a traditional, fifteenth century tea ceremony!

That's not all - the origami section shall cater to attendees of all abilities will be present, allowing you to learn the traditional art of folding paper and take home their works of art. There will also be the opportunity to try out and taste a range of traditional snacks and sweets from Japan, ranging from wasabi peas to edamame beans and of course Pocky!

Other activities available will include a calligraphy area, where you will be able to learn how to write your name in Japanese using traditional ink and brushes. There will also be a number of stage events involving the audience, so stay tuned for more announcements from this area.

TRADING CARD ZONE

Come along, chill out, trade and socialise in the Trading Card Zone!There will be a wide range of single cards, boosters, booster boxes and deck protector supplies available. Officially sanctioned tournaments and casual play including popular Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Magic: The Gathering and Vanguard Tournaments!

Here's the planned timetable. Tournaments will cost £2.50 to enter with a free booster pack included and prizes for the winners! All tournaments are swiss.

Saturday - 11am - Yu-Gi-Oh!; 1pm - Vanguard; 3pm - Yu-Gi-Oh!; 5pm - MTG
Sunday - 11am - Yu-Gi-Oh!; 1pm - Vanguard; 3pm - Yu-Gi-Oh!; 5pm - Pokemon

PHOTO-SHOOTS

Get your picture taken with your favourite stars by a professional photographer at EMS.

A real genuine keepsake to remind your of your day when you got to meet a favourite actor or actress. Photo Sessions take place early in the day to allow enough time for the photos to be developed so you can then take them away before you head home.

Each guest taking part in photo ops will be assigned one session per day, or one session over the weekend depending on demand, you can check which days when you pre-book your photo tickets but photo shoot times will not be released until nearer the event. Photo tickets can be brought on the day.
