Art of War Releasing Guts vs. Zodd Statues

Jan 24th 2013
26th January 2013, Tokyo, Japan –ART OF WAR has released the “Guts VS Zodd *2013 Version” and “Nosferatu Zodd *2013 Version”.

This is the first time that ART OF WAR re-creates the scene of the inescapable battle between “Guts and Zodd”. This statue is as real as it gets - you can almost hear the furious roaring of Zodd! This combination of Guts, The Black Swordsman and Zodd is a perfect re-creation of their epic battle scene.

Guts, with his huge sword, has been deliberately reproduced in a miniature size to emphasize the visual contrast against the much larger, stronger and dreaded Zodd. Pit them in battle against each other and you will sense Guts' courage against this most evil of foes! Despite Guts being smaller than the usual creations, it has not prevented the artists from re-creating his armor and sword even more precisely.

Zodd's huge wings are full color makeover, applying a special color never before used. This unique color, a combination of black with a blue tone, produces an almost real-like hard fur look on the surface of Zodd's wings. And for the inner parts of the wings, ART OF WAR has made them smooth and a little bit luminous like the real wings of a beast. In addition, the stretched-out wings show the power of Zodd, and the blood flowing out from its' body, mouth and claws accentuates the reality of the massacre that took place. A small piece of flesh hanging on the teeth of Zodd makes the statue bloodier and more frightening. It might be a small feature but the result vividly shows Zodd's rage and willingness to kill in battle.

“Guts VS Zodd” is 66,500 Japanese Yen (approx. US$738), limited to only 50 pieces. The single version of “Nosferatu Zodd ” is 57,000 Japanese Yen (approx. US$633) and also limited to only 50 pieces. The estimated delivery date is in May or June 2013. And the third film of the Berserk movie series will be premiered on February 1st. This is a great opportunity to pre-order a Berserk project now.
