Online 3rd Person Shooter Cosmicbreak 2 Launches in Japan, Global Release to Follow
April 30, 2015 – Online game developer Cyberstep begins official service in Japan for its latest 3rd person shooter “CosmicBreak 2”. The game will be released in the US, European, Brazilian, and Asian markets later this year.

“CosmicBreak 2” is the sequel title to the widely popular CosmicBreak and is being built from the ground up using new technologies in order to deliver a smoother, more open-ended experience. Include in these technologies is a physics engine which allows interactive, destructible environments and shaders that give the game its signature look.
CosmicBreak 2 features a large number of unique playable characters, each with their own personalized outfits and armaments and customization options which can affect how they are played. Players will be able to take these characters into fast-paced 10vs10 arena-style battles held within the Cosmic League. These battles take place on a variety of stages, each with their own unique appeal and mechanics to learn. Players will be able to freely traverse each of these stages and use the terrain to their advantage. Whereas flying types will be able to simply soar over and around most obstacles, speedy ground types can jump off of walls to reach higher positions.
Many objects found within stages may also be destroyed if they take enough damage. For example, a bridge offering unimpeded access to a nearby objective can be toppled by destroying the supports below it. Map hazards and other random events will require players to stay on their toes while maneuvering through an area or while in combat. In addition to terrain changes, CosmicBreak 2 also features a “Costume Break” function which displays damage done to the character in the form of torn garments or broken armor plating.
The Japanese service will be region-locked and therefore unavailable to foreign players, but releases have been scheduled for the US, Europe, Brazil, and Asia within the year.
