Indonesian Manga Debuts in Japan Today

The day Indonesian manga fans have awaited has finally arrived: Alex Irzaqi has made his official debut on Web Comic Zenyon, making him the third SILENT MANGA AUDITION® MasterClass member to achieve this ambitious goal!
Originally conceived by the acclaimed Japanese mangaka, Toshiaki Yamada (The Tactician of Wind -Kuroda Kanbei – (Gifuu Doudou!! Kaze no Gunshi), “REFORMER” tells the crude story of the anti-hero Mizuno, a retired hitman with a mysterious past who has a tendency of act before he thinks. The third Zenon Creator Audition manga to be published by COAMIX Inc., after “Midnight Shadow” by SIDEBURN004 and “Joze and the Magical Mansion” by Dedy Koerniawan Soesanto, “REFORMER” offers the chance to introduce Alex's incredible talent to a Japanese audience of manga fans.
With themes that highlight the darker side of Japanese society, “REFORMER” is untimely a story of justice for the forgotten few in our world.
Winner of the first ever SMA Grand Prix award with his excellent manga “Excuse Me”, Alex Irzaqi has consistency impressed the judging panel with his faultless depiction of action throughout his work. Contributing many works to the SILENT MANGA AUDITION®, including his 2017 fighting oneshot “Hujan di Tepian Rindu”, the Indonesian manga ace proved to be the perfect candidate to give life to Yamada sensei's concept.
A native to the city of Gresik, Alex lives in Bandung in a creative commune dedicated to making manga! Along with his colleagues/housemates, the team of intrepid comic enthusiasts create and publish their own work under the name Ragasukma. With several titles set in their native Indonesia published to date, the group are now seeing record breaking sales across their region.
