Aniplex Presents Two Visually Stunning Games at Taipei Game Show - Venture to the Vile and Hookah Haze
Tokyo, Japan 23rd January 2024 - Aniplex Inc, a Japanese animation and games company, is pleased to share two visually stunning games, Hookah Haze and Venture to the Vile. The development team will be present at Taipei Games Show 2024.
Meetings with the development team can be arranged upon request at Ukiyo Studios Booth A01 in the Indie House area. Remote interviews are also possible during or after Taipei Game Show. For early access reviews, game codes can be made available upon request.
Enter The Haze
Protagonist Toru Sumiki loses the will to live after being diagnosed with a fatal illness. At his doctor's insistence he attempts to make the most of his time left and starts a job as the manager of a hookah lounge. Through work he meets three unique girls with cheerful facades that belie problems and past trauma within. In a dimly lit room and through the smoke of shisha, what will Toru finally discover about his new friends?

Hookah Haze was first announced during the Live Premiere segment of Indie Live Expo 2023 Winter. Development behind the game is being done by an all-woman team. Hookah Haze is sure to be a hit amongst fans who love cozy games and talking simulations with a subtle yet sensual allure.
Welcome To The Vile
Venture to the Vile is a spooky 2.5D Metroidvania set in the strange town of Rainybrook, which has been overrun by a mysterious entity known as the Vile. Absorb the Vile's powers, fight your way through treacherous grounds that were once your home. Will you save the town and find your missing friend Ella — or will you give in to the monster you've become?
Enjoy dynamic gameplay in a world full of puzzles to solve. Unlock new abilities as you explore Rainybrook and come face to face with some rather peculiar townsfolk and their requests. Day/Night cycles and dynamic in-game weather will create new settings and side quests depending on the conditions!
