Claymore is cool. I like it and I got a big laugh out of this one. Very good.

Actually, that would be Dwarves. In 4th Edition they have the "Cast Iron Stomach" racial trait; which you'd need to eat anything from a place called Taco Sludge.

Nina is beautiful with the Claymore touch. Although when I saw the teaser verbage on the front page about tacos I thought maybe ANN Nina was going to reference the Saki series and how one of the characters loved tacos as the source of her mahjong-playing energy.

I really like Claymore, it's the only manga and new anime that I've bought in a long time. But Nina address one of the things that bothered me about Claymore. The Claymores hardly eat at all, and when they do it's just a small amount. I would thing that with amounts of energy (both physical and yoki) they expend, and not to mention the regeneration of lost limbs that they would eat like crazy to keep this up. But I guess the explanation would be there is a inflow of Yoki power from somewhere external to themselves.
Nina looks good as a Claymore, but Helen is still my favorite.

Love it! Here's hoping for an UMD crossover.

That's funny. Though you know Claymores don't eat. I love the imagery it works. Nina would make a good Claymore cosplayer.

I love that her Claymore symbol is the ANN logo.

Claymore! Just saw it a few months ago. I wish we could heal ourselves and eat to regain our power.

Claymore, nice. I liked that show.
Nina's elven alter ego is pretty striking. She appears in the strip occasionaly, and I wonder if she only exists in Nina's imagination, or if there's something about Nina that hasn't been revealed. She is an elf, after all, and they are magical creatures.
Or perhaps my imagination is running wild again.

Claymores do eat! They only need a small amount. Clare explained a bit about it in the first volume of the manga. However, if they've partially awakened, if I remember correctly, they tend to eat a lot more than the average Claymore needs to. Like Helen with her apples.
Anyway, I enjoyed Claymore and I also really like Anime News Nina, so seeing the two combined in a comic strip was pretty cool. Nina looks awesome as a Claymore.
I find it kind of brilliant that she was featured as such because all Claymores have blonde/whitish-blonde hair, so it makes sense that her physical appearance wasn't hugely altered (Aside from the eyes, obviously).

Ya know, I believe they really are. I mean, how can you be called a true warrior if you can't how learn to fight your own bowel movements?

Volume 3 is where things started to get interesting (Teresa arc).
