lately when I've been on ANN (and the ANN forums), the page will be redirected to some add. I don't know why it does this, its a major pain in the arse, and I was wondering if theres some way to stop it.
today its been so bad that, on every ANN page I go to, I have to click "stop" or else it'll redirect. |

ANN was attacked during upgrade, but it's fine for me now. Have you computer scanned for virus (with anti-virus software) and browser hijacker (with anti-adware programs, e.g. Spybot).

What page are you being redirected to? What's the ad for? Telling us this kind of information makes it much easier for us to figure out whatthe problem is, if we aren't previously aware of it. I am not aware of ANN redirecting to any ads. -t |

Sounds like your browser has been hijacked by Gator/Claria or something of the sort giving you software induced ads. Run a spyware remover and see if that fixes the problem and you can read more about it here.

thanks for the help, everyone.
I'm running a spyware search right now, so hopefully it'll clear things up. tempest - its different. for a while it was some meeting place, but recently its been for a little electronic thingy on another note, is this the time to hack php forums? another php forum that I frequent (nicedrums.com) is displaying the same message that ANN was yesterday |

ANN was attacked (defaced) several times today. The most current one happened five minutes before this post. |
