He was born in 1755 (don't know exact date), died 1829-12-22 (yyyymmdd). This is according to various sources including bio sites and wikipedia (it's fairly well known, he's a famous author). However the encyclopedia does not let me enter it. It says "Information does not follow the correct format" even for the date of death (the date of birth has no date and month so...). I think its is probably because the year is not 19** or 20**... it's "too old"?
