I don't get how it happens that civil servants assign people's kids names.
It reminds me of a true story a police officer in Oakland (CA) told me once. At the time literacy rates were not that high there -- better now but not great. He was looking for some some kid in connection with an investigation and what people told him was her name was pronounced Fee-mahl-ee.
Once he got hold of the birth certificate it turned out that the mother declined to provide a name for her kid, and the doctor wrote "Female" on the form in a box near where the name was supposed to go. The mother concluded that was the name.

So in this ep. we found out that Toko is actually more mature than her big brother (surprise?)...and it made me wonder if Ichimiya and Chihaya ever had sex...

@ Merida - with respect to your spoiler musing, I'd say no. Both because of the nature of the characters involved (especially him) and because people rarely have sex in anime, for some reason.

LOL! True, but that's because mainstream anime rarely features adults in a relationship.

True, but Yosuga no Sora proved that you don't need adults in a relationship for that element.

LOL I highly doubt it. Look at how he acts around her. If he had gotten laid he would have more confidence.

I just see it as misplaced blame. Wasn't asked in a recent episode why she doesn't blame her parents and she simply says it's because she loves her parents and knows that they are good people... so she has to blame someone else.

Hm. That would be a -5 on the girlfriend-material rating.

Which is easily compensated for the +100 for those stupendous juggs and being cute as a button.

Still endlessly amused by the fact that Lucy keeps thinking that almost everything that Hasebe does when he's around her is all because he's so experienced with girls.
I'm kind of wondering how Hasebe even found out that his dad is the one that Lucy holds responsible for her name now. How did that even come up in a conversation? And Dusky, your brother must be a psychic for working that out weeks ago.

@ Oretensia1980 - actually, that would conversation would have come pretty easily if you remember some of the details of the episode. I imagine the convo went like this:
H.D.: How come you had to be dragged here to meet you sister's fiance?
H.: I was on a date with Loo-she.
H.D.: Who's Loo-she?
H.: She's this fox at work with big hoots. Funny story about her name--
I probably don't have to go on, right?

Maybe his curiosity got the best of him and he decided to look into Lucy's records to find out who approved her name.

I assume Hasabe's sister is also aware of Lucy's long name, seems to me that she might bring it up that it was what her brother was doing, and their father would remember that he accepted that name.

Is it wrong for me to hope that we'll be getting a flashback scene with Hasebe and his dad next week that involves what Blood- said? I know we won't, but a girl can dream, right?

It only took Hasabe 12 episodes to get Lucy's number. The only thing not resolved yet isToko finding out her brother is dating Megumi. Overall this was a funny anime and I will give it Very Good.
