Indeed. I'd love more of this, but writers/directors/creators just can't seem to resist tacking on a romance (often either barely developed or any development that does exist detracting from the story rather than adding to it). It's as if they can't imagine a man/boy and woman/girl having a relationship that's anything but sexual or that a man being 'just friends' with a woman would be just horrible....

Uh, no. And frankly I wish people would stop trotting it out when the subject comes up.

Hey, people gotta know the classics. Like if wanna know the life answers, remember The Godfather quotes, as they say.

No, the show being painfully bland and unoriginal looking is a flaw. Also a waste of Studio 8's time.

Its the cool thing to do now-a-days, judge an anime-orginal show before it has aired.

We're saying that the show looks painfully bland and unoriginal based on the PV.

Considering that that is our point, I'm confused as to what your point is.

Yes, this is totally something new. Also, 'this looks interesting' is just as much a judgement as 'this looks boring'. If you think people shouldn't hold negative opinions of something based on previews, then you must also think they shouldn't hold positive opinions of it. And the entire point of a PV is to get people interested, thus by definition they are asking an audience to judge what they think of a show based on a PV.
And do note that he said "being bland and unoriginal looking". That word is important, it means something.

The interesting thing is that I'm pretty sure that the people acting the most butthurt are in no way the target audience to begin with if their primary concerns for an upcoming mecha show are the number of female cast members present (of which there actually appear to be plenty going by the character sketches) and whether they can get a yuri relationship somewhere in the show.

So true.
On the main topic, I think this show looks good, looking forward to it. Gonna be nice having 2 more mecha series to watch

Yes, Kaisos. I totally hate mecha shows and have no interest in them at all.
Which is totally why I spent $400 last year to buy the Special Edition of The 2nd Super Robot Wars OG. Not to mention importing numerous other Super Robot Wars games.
Kaisos, please. Stop acting like people can fit into nice, neat categories. I happen to be a mecha fan and a yuri fan and a fan of female lead characters in general.
And speaking as the first, this show looks [expletive] bland as shit.

I hate to break it to you fencedude but I'm not Kaisos. Though am I to take this as further proof that you don't appear to read think and then post but instead just go straight to the posting part?
