Mai Mai Miracle: 1st Stretch Goal is English Dub at $60,000. They are currently at $49,015.

They also said in their updates:
Quote:
Backer goals:

We talked about this and I like doing something too for the more backers we get - so here’s a fun one! If we hit 1,000 backers, we will give everyone who pays $45 or upwards the digital tier as well - saves on it being an add on and gives you guys the subtitled version of the film a lot quicker too!
Currently at 854 backers and 28 days to go.

You guys have got like 3 hours left if you still wanna pledge for Dear Brother set 2. It's already met its goal (thanks to black friday doubler), but that's no excuse! You can also add set 1 as an add-on. Now that we know how Right Stuf prices were for Creamy Mami and Black Jack leftovers, it's the better deal to pledge, clearly.

^Hell, I'm waiting for set 3 myself. But I've also recently learned that if you do earlier sets as an add-on pledge for later ones, you don't get them shipped until the later one. Which means I need to wait until Black Jack set 2 comes out before I get set 1. Still, worth the wait I suppose. At least I'll be getting Dear Brother as those come, I pledged for those separate.

Creamy Mami now has a month or less left to finish its goal, while Polymar has less than two weeks.

Quote:
Important Kickstarter Security Notice
Yancey Strickler · February 15 2014 ·

On Wednesday night, law enforcement officials contacted Kickstarter and alerted us that hackers had sought and gained unauthorized access to some of our customers' data. Upon learning this, we immediately closed the security breach and began strengthening security measures throughout the Kickstarter system.

No credit card data of any kind was accessed by hackers. There is no evidence of unauthorized activity of any kind on all but two Kickstarter user accounts.

While no credit card data was accessed, some information about our customers was. Accessed information included usernames, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and encrypted passwords. Actual passwords were not revealed, however it is possible for a malicious person with enough computing power to guess and crack an encrypted password, particularly a weak or obvious one.

As a precaution, we strongly recommend that you create a new password for your Kickstarter account, and other accounts where you use this password.

To change your password, log in to your Kickstarter account and look for the banner at the top of the page to create a new, secure password. We recommend you do the same on other sites where you use this password. For additional help with password security, we recommend tools like 1Password and LastPass.

We’re incredibly sorry that this happened. We set a very high bar for how we serve our community, and this incident is frustrating and upsetting. We have since improved our security procedures and systems in numerous ways, and we will continue to do so in the weeks and months to come. We are working closely with law enforcement, and we are doing everything in our power to prevent this from happening again.

Kickstarter is a vibrant community like no other, and we can’t thank you enough for being a part of it. Please let us know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. You can reach us at [email protected].

Thank you,

Yancey Strickler
Kickstarter CEO

Updated at 5:45pm with some common questions and answers:

How were passwords encrypted?
Older passwords were uniquely salted and digested with SHA-1 multiple times. More recent passwords are hashed with bcrypt.

Does Kickstarter store credit card data?
Kickstarter does not store full credit card numbers. For pledges to projects outside of the US, we store the last four digits and expiration dates for credit cards. None of this data was in any way accessed.

If Kickstarter was notified Wednesday night, why were people notified on Saturday?
We immediately closed the breach and notified everyone as soon we had thoroughly investigated the situation.

Will Kickstarter work with the two people whose accounts were compromised?
Yes. We have reached out to them and have secured their accounts.

I use Facebook to log in to Kickstarter. Is my login compromised?
No. As a precaution we reset all Facebook login credentials. Facebook users can simply reconnect when they come to Kickstarter.

Just a reminder that Mami only has 27 days now, and needs $10,500 to be done.

Mai Mai Miracle is now at $70, 706 with 18 more days to go and needs about $5K more to hit second stretch goal.

I do wish they had more pledge levels. Something between $55 and $130 (the $75 is only for the book not the movie) and something between $130 and $250. It makes me wonder if not having more levels is making people shy away from pledging higher?

In "almost-anime" related news, Wakfu's Kickstarter campaign recently ended with a grand total of $483,524 CAD, funding at 604% of their initial goal with 5,707 backers! That makes it the fifth highest-funded animated Kickstarter project ever, right behind Bee & Puppycat, Little Witch Academia 2, and The Goon. Very Happy

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1836563008/wakfu-the-animated-series/?ref=kicktraq

I hope everyone was able to get a bluray set in time, because they do NOT plan to make it available after the Kickstarter campaign.

^I hemmed and hawwed over it for about two hours last night. On the one hand I have three expensive pre-orders coming up (Kamisama Kiss Goddess Edition, Psycho-Pass LE, and Madoka Magica Rebellion LE), but on the other hand it's a great deal ($40 for 52). On the one hand I've already got a backlog and should focus on that instead of buying more, but on the other hand this is the only time to buy a bluray of this series. On the one hand it's a children's cartoon that would be a blind buy, but on the other hand I have heard really good things about it. On the one hand Kickstarter recently had that those issues with hackers, but on the other hand no CC information was stolen. And so it went.

And then I finally went on youtube and watched a bit of it, and proceeded to plunk down $40. I should have just done that from the beginning. Laughing

I'm still waffling over Mai Mai Miracle. I'd like to own it, but not sure if I'm willing to shell out $55 to do so.
