Episode 5
It is an adult's job to worry for kids, and that was certainly relevant here. But man, that has to hurt to hit your head on that. I think Tama is one of my favourite aspects, specifically when she has that cry like she has been dirtied, putting blame on adults when we know she likes it. All the kids playing was kind of cute, Hina and Naru are so kawaii
So I am guessing that person that has come to see him is the up and coming calligrapher that took the first place in the other episode?

Another fantastic episode!
Handa's presence with his phrases were just so appealing. The fujoishi moments made me lol though. Also, the scene with the paper airplanes is a work of art. Great work, Naru.

Seishuu's friends got into trouble right from the start LOL
Those islanders don't have much tolerance for suspicious people.
Looks like they also know how to party ^^
Kawafuji & Kousuke are not just any visitors.
Damn, Kousuke is Seishuu's competition.
I was surprised he didn't get worked up about it.
Looks like Kousuke totally idolizes him ^^"
That kid was pretty insistent on Seishuu's return to Tokyo.
He was convinced the island was having a negative effect.
I'm glad Seishuu isn't easily convinced.
Guess he likes his current life & calligraphy style.
Nice episode.

The opening sequence was great. Was Naru petting the falcon or trying to see if the ink would scratch off?

Episode 6
Shield bugs, I chose you. Kousuke was unnerved. Shield bugs used stink, it was super effective. Tama became confused.
Some really effective scenes, from playing the hijinks, the community, Handa's frustration, the planes, and then his embarrassment.

I don't generally care much for tattoos, but Kawafuji's got some nice ones.
Naru selling the shells was really cute, it reminded me of when my sister and I were that age and sold lemonade.
Handa was a lot calmer than I expected when he came face to face with the person he lost to, but that made it more interesting if he had gotten angry.
I also really enjoyed the paper planes scene.

Yes, but the lemonade probably didn't come oozing out of the glass...

Oh Tama. Just when I was despairing that you wouldn't be in the episode you arrive just in time to make me laugh. Your suffering is my amusement.

Episode 7:
Another hilarious episode. This episode makes me want to go to a lake and catch some fish. Ah, Naru sure got her fun time. I love how natural the character enjoy their lives as well with every moment that counts.

Seishuu's friends got stuck on the island.
It was fun watching them get to know the life there.
Fishing was a nice way to do it too ^^
Kousuke was so no good at it..
He can be such an annoying brat & a crybaby.
Naru always finds something to have fun with LOL
Kawafuji kinda went overboard with his monologue ^^"
Note to self: Don't make Naru mad!
That trio totally had it coming ROFL
So Kousuke was in a slump too, that's why he came.
Shame those two went back so soon..
Fun episode ^^

Is it me or was Hina looking a little more potato-faced than usual?
Best line: Reelin' in the Earth, huh.
This series has a real knack at hilarious chain reactions.

Episode 7
There are no bad episodes, and this one was absolutely hilarious.
"Naru obtained slightly long stick!" *Naru catches a wharf roach* "Hina, hold out your hands." Naru then ferociously chases a crying Hina who then knocks of Takao's glasses through a chain and makes Kousuke cry. That there is comedy gold.
The actions of the characters in the show is just too perfect, from Naru's fishing tackle being laughed at and followed up a Naru tackle, to lame presents and laughing at a metal detector.
Really any other takers for show of the season?

The part that ends up with Kawafuji losing his glasses and the airport scene were both really funny, but I think the part where they actually manage to catch a fish with Naru's ridiculous hook, only for it to plop back into the water at the last moment, and they all laugh about it was definitely one of the best scenes of the show so far.
Naru and Hina are so adorable.

And to show how culturally different people can be, it reminded me when I was her age and I would crack shellfish open {quahogs and oysters mostly} and eat them raw. Seafood and eat it, you know.
Selling lemonade's for kids...

Episode 8
Wow. Just...wow. That was a perfect episode. There is not a single thing that I would want to change. There is not a single thing that could be improved upon.
Naru's birthday segment was flawless. That beetle hunting bit was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in anime.
"Apologize to the beetle!"
"Repent with your life!"
What was great about the humour was that it completely came out of character as opposed to some cheesy external contrivance.
The next segment was both funny AND poignant. I seriously teared up towards the end.
I can't even imagine how bad Barakamon would have to shit the bed in its remaining eppies not to get a Masterpiece rating out of me.
