I thought it was pretty obvious that they were making fun of that trope by taking it to extremes, just like they keep parodying pretty much every other (shoujo romance) cliché.
This show continues to be a pure joy to watch, i hope we'll eventually get more than one season...

I loved Nozaki's reactions to the rooftop scenes.

I have found this to be the funniest series I have seen since Watamote. Also Seo is my 'best girl' for the year.

This show continues to be consistently, wonderfully funny. I'm going to be sad when it's over.

That was one of my favorite parts, too. When/if Wakamatsu finds out Lorelei = Seo, he's never gonna be able to sleep ever again.
Chiyo, Hori, and Wakamatsu turning Nozaki's characters into Seo and Kashima, and just generally failing at manga was also hilarious.

#7
Sakura got herself a date ^^
Well, at least she was happy.
Nozaki saw it as an idea hunting..
The sailor uniform situation... ROFL
Nozaki sure can be weird.
Mikoshiba got caught in the bishoujo figure section LOL
Nozaki really does live in his own special world..
He is totally work obsessed.
For him everything revolves around making manga.
Mikoshiba got ambushed to pose for the art club LOL
They used him up nicely ^^
Still, he was pretty demanding on Sakura.
Even Nozaki joined in sketching & used it for manga again *facepalm*
Fun episode

That was amusing.
I might have to re-watch the episode again since it felt somewhat different than the previous episodes. Shame there wasn't much Seo though.

I started watching this episode because I'm a fan of Nakamura Yuuichi (Nozaki). So glad it's funny and interesting and not harem...

Episode 7
Poor Mikorin, afraid of people he doesn't know, can look like a jerk when trying to avoid situations, and digs his own holes when he gets in the zone. Hard to pick favourites from it all, but one I can think quite fondly of was when he did not want Chiyo to leave him alone.
Also earlier having Nozaki trying to wear a sailor uniform. The things from his mind just end up funny.

I love all the characters but there is just something about Mikorin
So many funny scenes in this episode, Nozaki in the sailor outfit, Mikorin being caught buying a bishoujo figure and then doing the figure poses, and finally promising he will pose nude next time and Nozaki asking to call him when he does (what a friend )

Nozaki trying to put on a sailor fuku, and lamenting not being a slim bishounen...
Mikorin is too cute...I knew Chiyo would have him pose like Nozaki. And he just keeps digging himself in deeper...nude modelling...he's gonna have a hell of a time getting out of that one.

Episode 8:
I'm kinda curious to see if the manga they are making will get an anime adaptation in the future. This episode imo was hilarious with the trap and horse.
Thanks for another lighthearted episode after AkG earlier today.

Kashima was surprised Hori read shoujo manga with so much attention to detail.
Mikoshiba spilled too much info about it too.
Now she thinks all the guys are obsessed with shoujo manga.
Damn, that Kashima would be an awesome male manga protagonist.
OMG! The amount of misinterpreted reactions was just epic & ROFL
Kashima was totally unintentionally bullying Hori with clothes LOL
On the other hand Nozaki wasn't making things easier for him either.
Kashima & Hori rodeo... wtf was that? It was hilarious!!
Great episode!

This show never fails to make me laugh. It is definitely the best comedy for me from this season.

I was cracking up at that part too. I think what makes this anime work is the jokes really do feel fresh. Not the same ones you see recycled in so many anime series that I am constantly surprised.
